New Moon - Stephenie Meyer

About The Book

For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella could ever have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning...

'Shoot', I muttered when the paper sliced my finger; I pulled it out to examine the damage. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut. It all happened very quickly then. 'No!' Edward roared...Dazed and disoriented, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm - into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires.

Passionate, riveting and deeply moving, New Moon, the compelling sequel to Twilight, irresistibly combines romance and suspense with a supernatural twist.

Why The World Would End By The Year 2012

SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS from around the world are predicting that 3 years from now, all life on Earth could well come to an end. Some are saying it'll be humans that would set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it'll be God himself who would press the stop button. The following are some likely arguments as to why the world would end by the year 2012.

Reason one: Mayan calendar

The first to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things -- building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and sacrificing virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they've got the end of the world right as well.

Reason two: Sun storms

Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery. Our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the earth with lot of radiation energy. It's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012.

Reason three: The atom smasher

Scientists in Europe have been building the world's largest particle accelerator. Basically, its a 27 km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it's properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They're predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

Reason four: The Bible says it

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn't bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act as well. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between good an evil, has been set for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese Book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

Reason five: Super volcano

Yellowstone National Park in United States is famous for its thermal springs and old faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple -- it's sitting on top of the world's biggest volcano and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

Reason six: The physicists

This one's case of bog -- simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berkely University have been crunching the numbers.
They've determined that the earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they're claiming that their calculations prove that we're all going to die, very soon. They are also saying that their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 per cent; and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

Reason seven: Earth's magnetic field

We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that shields us from most of the sun's radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call North and South have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so -- and right now we're about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30 kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is under way, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.

Twilight - Stephenie Meyer

About The Book

When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret.

What Bella doesn't realize is that the closer she gets to him, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risk. And it might be too late to turn back...

About three things Bella was absolutely positive.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him - and she didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for her blood.

And third, She was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Deeply seductive and irresistibly compelling, Twilight is an extraordinary love story that will stay with you long after you have turned the final page.

The best lines or teachings from the book

Every event has a purpose and every setback its lesson. Failure whether of the personal, professional, or even spiritual kind, is essential to personal expansion. It brings inner growth and a whole host of psychic rewards. Never regret your past. Rather, embrace it as the teacher that it is.

There are no mistakes in life, only lessons. There is no such thing as a negative experience, only opportunities to grow, learn and advance along the road of self-mastery. From struggle comes strength. Even pain can be a wonderful teacher.

On an average day, the average person runs about sixty thousand thoughts through his mind and 95% of those thoughts were the same as the ones you thought the day before.

When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all of your thoughts break their bonds: your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a a greater person than you ever dreamed yourself to be.

The secret of happiness is simple: find out what you truly love to do and then direct all of your energy towards doing it. If you study the happiest, healthiest, most satisfied people of our world, you will see that each and every one of them has found their passion in life, and then spent their days pursuing it. This calling is almost always one that, in some way, serves others. Once you are concentrating your mental power and energy on a pursuit that you love, abundance flows into your life, and all your desires are fulfilled with ease and grace.

Stillness is the stepping stone to connecting with the universal source of intelligence that throbs through every living thing.

The Chinese define image in these terms: there are three mirrors that form a person's reflection; the first is how you see yourself, the second is how others see you and the third mirror reflects the truth. Know yourself, Know the truth.

For new behavior to crystallize into a habit, one had to perform the new activity for twenty-one days in a row.

Never do anything because you have to. The only reason to do something is because you want to and because you know it is the right thing for you to do.

Kaizen - Japanese word that means constant and never-ending improvement. It's the personal trademark of every man and woman who is living a soaring, fully awakened existence. Success on the outside begins with success on the inside. If you really want to improve your outer world, whether this means your health, your relationships or your finances, you must first improve your inner world. The most effective way to do this is through the practice of continuous self-improvement. Self-mastery is the DNA of life mastery.

Ten Rituals of Radiant Living

- The Ritual Of Solitude
Ensure that your daily schedule includes a mandatory period of peace. It's purpose is self-renewal and this is accomplished by spending time alone, immersed in the beautiful blanket of silence.

- The Ritual of Physicality
It is based on the principle that says as you care for the body so you care for the mind. As you prepare your body, so you prepare your mind. As you train your body, so you train your mind. Take some time every single day to nourish the temple of your body through vigorous exercise. Get your blood circulationg and your body moving.

- The Ritual of Live Nourishment
As you nourish your body, so you nourish your mind as a poor diet has a pronounced effect on your life. It drains your mental and physical energy. It affects your moods and it hampers the clarity of your mind.

- The Ritual of Abundant Knowledge
It centers on the whole notion of lifelong learning and expanding your knowledge base for the good of yourself and all those around you. It requires that you use what you have learned in the classroom of your existence.

- The Ritual of Personal Reflection
The power of inner contemplation. By taking the time to get to know yourself, you will connect to a dimension of your being that you never knew you had.

- The Ritual of Early Awakening
Rise with the sun and start the day off well

- The Ritual of Music
Music makes you laugh, it makes you dance and it makes you sing. Never forget the power of music. It is one of the finest motivators.

- The Ritual of the Spoken Word
It helps you to be focused, strong and happy. For example, saying mantras, written affirmations. A mantra is nothing more than a collection of words strung together to create a positive effect. In Sanskrit, 'man' means 'mind' and 'tra' means 'freeing'. So a mantra is a phrase that is designed to free the mind.

- The Ritual of a Congruent Character
Take daily, incremental action to build your character.
You sow a thought, you reap an action. Reap an action, you sow a habit. Sow a habit, you reap a character. Sow a character, you reap your destiny.
When all your actions are congruent and aligned with the principles of industry, compassion, humility, patience, honesty and courage, you will feel a deep sense of inner harmony and peace.

- The Ritual of Simplicity
Live a simple life. One must never live in the thick of thin things. Focus only on your priorities, those activities that are truly meaningful. Your life will be uncluttered, rewarding and exceptionally peaceful.

Ancient Rule of Twenty - 80% of the results you achieve in your life come from only 20% of the activities that occupy your time.

When you control your thoughts, you control your mind. When you control your mind, you control your life. And once you reach the stage of being in total control of your life, you become the master of your destiny.

Seven virtues for a life overflowing with inner peace, joy and a wealth of spiritual gifts are contained within a mystical fable. The following fable has the essence of it all. Picture the following scene in your mind's eye-

You are sitting in the middle of a magnificient, lush, green garden. This garden is filled with the most spectacular flowers you have ever seen. The environment is supremely tranquil and silent. Savor the sensual delights of this graden and feel as if you have all the time in the world to enjoy this natural oasis. As you look around you see that in the center of this magical garden stands a towering, red lighthouse, six stories high. Suddenly, the silence of the garden is disturbed by a loud creaking as the door at the base of the lighthouse opens. Japanese sumo wrestler who casually wanders into the center of the garden. [The Japanese sumo wrestler is almost totally naked. He has a pink wire cable covering his private parts]. As this sumo wrestler starts to move around the garden, he finds a shiny gold stopwatch which someone had left behind many years earlier. He slips it on, and falls to the ground with an enormous thud. The sumo wrestler is rendered unconscious and lies there, silent and still. Just when you think he has taken his last breath, the wrestler awakens, perhaps stirred by the fragrance of some fresh yellow roses blooming nearby. Energized, the wrestler jumps swiftly to his feet and intuitively looks to his left. He is startled by what he sees. Through the bushes at the very edge of the garden he observes a long winding path covered by millions of sparkling diamonds. Something seems to instruct the wrestler to take the path, and to his credit, he does. This path leads him dowm the road of everlasting joy and eternal bliss.

Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert T. Kiyosaki with Sharon L. Lechter, C.P.A.

About The Book

Rich Dad Poor Dad will....

-Explore the myth that you need to earn a high income to become rich
-Challenge the belief that your house is an asset
-Show parents why they can't rely on the school system to teach their kids about money
-Define once and for all an asset and a liability
-Teach you what to teach your kids about money for their future financial success

What follows is the story of Robert's two dads, a rich one and a poor one, that expounds on the skills he's developed over a lifetime. The contrast between two dads provides an important perspective.

For any accountants who read this book, suspend your academic book knowledge and open your mind to the theories Robert presents.

Although many of them challenge the very fundamentals of generally accepted accounting principles, they provide a valuable insight into the way true investors analyze their investment decisions.

About The Authors

Robert T. Kiyosaki

"The main reason people struggle financially is because they spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is, people learn to work for money...but never learn to have money work for them," says Robert

Born and raised in Hawaii, Robert is fourth-generation Japanese American. His father was the head of education for the state of Hawaii. After high school, Robert was educated in New York and upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and went to Vietnam as an officer and a helicopter gunship pilot.

Returning from the war, Robert's business career began. In 1977 he founded a company that brought to the market the first nylon and Velcro "surfer" wallets, which grew into a multimillion-dollar worldwide product.

Leaving the business world, he co-founded, in 1985, an international education company that operated in seven countries, teaching business and investing to tens of thousands of graduates.

Retiring at age 47, Robert does what he enjoys most...investing. Concerned about the growing gap between the haves and have nots, Robert created the board game CASHFLOW, which teaches the game of money, here before only known by the rich.

Although Robert's business is real estate and developing small cap companies, his true love and passion is teaching.

Robert Kiyosaki's message is clear, "Take responsibility for your finances or take orders all your life. You're either a master of money or a slave to it."

Robert has one solid earth-shaking message and that message is - Awaken the Financial Genius that lies within you. Your genius is waiting to come out.

Sharon L. Lechter

CPA, consultant to the toy and publishing industries and business owner, Sharon Lechter has dedicated her professional efforts to the field of education.

She graduated with honors from Florida State University with a degree in accounting. She joined the ranks of what was then one of the big eight accounting firms, and went on to become the CFO of a turnaround company in the computer industry, tax director for a national insurance company and founder and Associate Publisher of the first regional woman's magazine in
Wisconsin, all while maintaining her professional credentials as a CPA.

Her focus quickly changed to education as she watched her own three children grow. It was a struggle to get them to read. They would rather watch TV.

So she was delighted to join forces with the inventor of the first electronic "talking book" and help expand the electronic book industry to a multimillion-dollar international market. Today, she remains a pioneer in developing new technologies to bring the book back into children's lives.

The best lines or teachings from the book

The love of money is the root of all evil OR The lack of money is the root of all evil.

Lesson #1 The Rich Don't Work for Money

Lesson #2 Why Teach Financial Literacy

Lesson #3 Mind Your Own Business

Lesson #4 The History of Taxes and the Power of Corporations

Lesson #5 The Rich Invent Money

Lesson #6 Work to Learn - Don't Work for Money

Money often makes obvious our tragic human flaws. Money often puts a spotlight on what we do not know. That is why, all too often, a person who comes into a sudden windfall of cash - let's say an inheritance, a pay raise or lottery winnings - soon returns to the same financial mess,if not worse than the mess they were in before they received the money. Money only accentuates the cash-flow pattern running in your head. If your pattern is to spend everything you get, most likely an increase in cash will just result in an increase in spending. Thus, the saying, "A fool and his money is one big party."

As an employee who is also a homeowner, your working efforts are generally as follows:

1. You work for someone else. Most people, working for a paycheck, are making the owner, or the shareholders, richer. Your efforts and success will help provide for the owner's success and retirement.

2. You work for the government. The government takes its share from your paycheck before you even see it. By working harder, you simply increase the amount of taxes taken by the government-most people work from January to May just for the government.

3. You work for the bank. After taxes, your next largest expense is usually your mortgage and credit card debt. The problem with simply working harder is that each of these three levels takes a greater share of your increased efforts.

You need to learn how to have your increased efforts benefit you and your family directly.
Once you have decided to concentrate on minding your own business, how do you set your goals?

For most people, they must keep their profession and rely on their wages to fund their acquisition of assets. As their assets grow, how do they measure the extent of their success? When does someone realize that they are rich, that they have wealth?..........

Check the below definition :-

Definition of Wealth borrowed from Buckminster Fuller: Wealth is a person's ability to survive so many number of days forward...or if I stopped working today, how long could I survive?

List of assets to be acquired -

1. Businesses that do not require my presence. I own them, but they are managed or run by other people. If I have to work there, it's not a business. It becomes my job.

2. Stocks

3. Bonds

4. Mutual Funds

5. Income-generating real estate

6. Notes (IOUs)

7. Royalties from intellectual property such as music, scripts, patents

8. And anything else that has value, producers income or appreciates and has a ready market.

"Be smart and you won't be pushed around as much."

Financial IQ is made up of knowledge from four broad areas of expertise

No. 1 is Accounting

No. 2 is Investing

No. 3 is Understanding Markets

No. 4 is the Law

The Rich with Corporations

1. Earn 2. Spend 3. Pay Taxes

People Who Work for corporations

1. Earn 2. Pay Taxes 3. Spend

Excessive fear and self-doubt are the greatest detractors of personal genius.

Financial intelligence is made up of four main technical skills :-

1. Financial literacy - The ability to read numbers

2. Investment strategies - The science of money making money

3. The market - Supply and demand. Alexander Graham Bell gave the market what it wanted. So did Bill Gates. A $75,000 house offered for $60,000 that cost $20,000 was also the result of seizing an opportunity created by the market. Somebody was buying, and someone was selling.

4. The law - The awareness of accounting, corporate, state and national rules and regulations.

Financial Intelligence is a synergy of accounting, investing, marketing and law.

The classic example of a synergy of skills was that young writer for the newspaper. If she diligently learned the skills of sales and marketing, her income would jump dramatically. Take some courses in advertising copywriting as well as sales. Then, instead of working at the newspaper, seek a job at an advertising agency. Even if it were a cut in pay, she would learn how
to communicate in "short cuts" that are used in successful advertising. She also would spend time learning public relations, an important skill. She would learn how to get millions in free publicity. Then, at night and on weekends, she could be writing her great novel. When it was finished, she would be better able to sell her book. Then, in a short while, she could
be a "best-selling author."

"You want to know a little about a lot."

"Job is an acronym for 'Just Over Broke'."

"Workers work hard enough to not be fired, and owners pay just enough so that workers won't quit."

The main management skills needed for success are -

1. The management of cash flow

2. The management of systems (including yourself and time with family)

3. The management of people

The better you are at communicating, negotiating and handling your fear of rejection, the easier life is.

Five main reasons why financially literate people may still not develop abundant asset columns -

1. Fear

2. Cynicism

3. Laziness

4. Bad Habits

5. Arrogance

"Do what you feel in your heart to be right-for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't."

Arrogance is ego plus ignorance.

Getting Started

1. I NEED A REASON GREATER THAN REALITY

The power of spirit. If you ask most people if they would like to be rich or financially free, they would say "yes." But then reality sets in. The road seems too long with too many hills to climb. It's easier to just work for money and hand the excess over to your broker.

2. I CHOOSE DAILY

The power of choice. That is the main reason people want to live in a free country. We want the power to choose.

3. CHOOSE FRIENDS CAREFULLY

The power of association. First of all, do not choose friends by their financial statements. Have friends who have actually taken the vow of poverty as well as friends who earn millions every year. The point is you learn from all of them, and also consciously make the effort to learn from them.

A WARNING: Don't listen to poor or frightened people. They are the "Chicken Littles" of life. When it comes to money, especially investments, "The sky is always falling." They can always tell you why something won't work. The problem is, people listen to them, but people who blindly accept doom-and-gloom information are also "Chicken Littles." As that old
saying goes, "Chickens of a feather agree together."

4. MASTER A FORMULA AND THEN LEARN A NEW ONEThe power of learning quickly. In order to make bread, every baker follows a recipe, even if it's only held in their head.
The same is true for making money. That's why money is often called "dough".

5. PAY YOURSELF FIRSTThe power of self-discipline. If you cannot get control of yourself, do not try to get rich. The Richest Man in Babylon, by George Classen, is where the statement "pay yourself first" comes from.(a) Don't get into large debt positions that you have to pay for. Keep your expenses low. Build up assets first. Then, buy the big house or nice car. Being stuck in the rat race is not intelligent.(b) When you come up short, let the pressure build and don't dip into your savings or investments. Use the pressure to inspire your financial genius to come up with new ways of making more money and then pay your bills. You will have increased
your ability to make more money as well as your financial intelligence.

6. PAY YOUR BROKERS WELL

The power of good advice.

7. BE AN "INDIAN GIVER"

This is the power of getting something for nothing. When the first white settlers came to America, they were taken aback by a cultural practice some American Indians had. For example, if a settler was cold, the Indian would give the person a blanket.
Mistaking it for a gift, the settler was often offended when the Indian asked for it back.
The Indians also got upset when they realized the settlers did not want to give it back. That is where the term "Indian giver" came from. A simple cultural misunderstanding.

8. ASSETS BUY LUXURIES

The power of focus.

9. THE NEED FOR HEROES

The power of myth. When it comes to investing, too many people make it sound hard. Instead find heroes who make it look easy.
Have heroes such as Donald Trump, Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch, George Soros and Jim Rogers.

10. TEACH AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

The power of giving.

ROBERT KIYOSAKI'S EDUMERCIAL

An Educational Commercial

THE THREE INCOMES

In the world of accounting, there are three different types of income. They are -

1. Earned Income

2. Passive Income

3. Portfolio Income

When my real dad said to me, "Go to school, get good grades, and find a safe secure job," he was recommending I work for earned income. When my rich dad said, "The rich don't work for money, they have their money work for them," he was talking about passive income and portfolio income. Passive income, in most cases, is income derived from real estate investments.
Portfolio income is income derived from paper assets...paper assets such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Portfolio income is the income that makes Bill Gates the richest man in the world, not earned income.

Rich dad used to say, "The key to becoming wealthy is the ability to convert earned income into passive income and/or portfolio income as quickly as possible."

It's About HR

One day while walking down the street a highly successful Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.

"Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," said the woman."Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever you want to spend an eternity in."

"Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", said the woman
"Sorry, we have rules..." And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell.

The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and Standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow executives that she had worked with and they were well dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner, and also danced away.

She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a Good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand and waved goodbye as she got on the elevator.
The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her.

"Now it's time to spend a day in heaven," he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her.

"So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,"

The woman paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."

So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell.
When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks.

The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her."I don't understand," stammered the woman, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."

The Devil looked at her smiled and told.....

"Yesterday we were recruiting you, today you're an Employee"

Killer Mentality

Read this question, come up with an answer and then scroll down to the bottom for the result. This is not a trick question. No one I know has got it right, including me .

A woman , while at the funeral of her own mother, meets a guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was simply ' amazing' , very much of her dream guy, she believed him to be just that! She fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him.
.........A few days later she killed her FIRST sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?
(Give this some thought before you answer).
SCROLL DOWN

Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral again.
If you answered this correctly , you think like a psychopath . This was a test by a famous American Psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly. If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for you.
Be sure to share the test!

Economic Humor ... Suuuuuuuuperb!!

In a small town on the South Coast of France, the holiday season is in full swing, but it is raining so there is not too much business taking place.

Everyone is heavily in debt.

Luckily, a rich Russian tourist arrives in the foyer of the small local hotel. He asks for a room and puts a Euro100 note on the reception counter, takes a key and goes to inspect the room located up the stairs on the third floor.

* The hotel owner takes the banknote in a hurry and rushes to his meat supplier to whom he owes E100.
* The butcher takes the money and races to his supplier to pay his debt.
* The wholesaler rushes to the farmer to pay E100 for pigs he purchased some time ago.
* The farmer triumphantly gives the E100 note to a local prostitute who gave him her services on credit.
* The prostitute quickly goes to the hotel, as she was owing the hotel for her hourly room used to entertain clients.

At that moment, the rich Russian comes down to reception and informs the hotel owner that the room is unsatisfactory and takes his E100 back and departs.

There was no profit or income. But everyone no longer has any debt and the small town's people look optimistically towards their future.

Could this be the solution to the global financial crisis? ;)

Speech by Bryan Dyson (CEO of Coca Cola)

"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them - Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you're keeping all of these in the Air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball.

If you drop it, it will bounce back.

But the other four Balls - Family, Health, Friends and Spirit - are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

You must understand that and strive for it. - Bryan Dyson

Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves ..

Difference Between Hell & Heaven

A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ' God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it impossible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth
water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.. '
'It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill.

You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

Remember that I will always share my spoon with you !.

Know Your Value

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500 note.

In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this Rupee 500 note?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the note up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
You are special. Don't ever forget it! Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.

Letter to Bill Gates From Banta Singh

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,

This letter is from Banta Singh from Punjab.
We have bought a computer for our home and we found problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

1. After connecting to internet we planned to open e-mail account and whenever we fill the form in Hotmail in the password column, only ****** appears, but in the rest of the fields whatever we typed appears, but we face this problem only in password field. We checked with hardware vendor Santa Singh and he said that there is no problem in keyboard. Because of this we open the e-mail account with password *****. I request you to check this as we ourselves do not know what the password is.
2. We are unable to enter anything after we click the 'shut down ' button.
3. There is a button 'start' but there is no "stop" button. We request you to check this.
4. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friend clicked 'run ' has ran upto Amritsar ! So, we request you to change that to "sit", so that we can click that by sitting.
5. One doubt is that any 're-scooter' available in system? As I find only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.
6. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot for tracing the key with this ' find', but unable to trace. Is it a bug??
7. Every night I am not sleeping as I have to protect my 'mouse' from CAT, So I suggest u to provide one DOG to kill that cat.
8. Please confirm when u are going to give me money for winning 'HEARTS' (playing cards in games) and when are u coming to my home to collect ur money.
9. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft sentence', so when u will provide that?

Best regards,
Banta Singh

Nails In The Fence

There once was a little boy who had a bad
temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails
and told him that every time he lost his
temper, he must hammer a nail into the back
of the fence. The first day the boy had
driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next
few weeks, as he learned to control his
anger, the number of nails hammered daily
gradually dwindled down. He discovered
it was easier to hold his temper than to
drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't
lose his temper at all. He told his father
about it and the father suggested that the
boy now pull out one nail for each day that
he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally
able to tell his father that all the nails
were gone.

The father took his son by the
hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You
have done well, my son, but look at the
holes in the fence. The fence will never be
the same. When you say things in anger,
they leave a scar just like this one. You
can put a knife in a man and draw it out.
It won't matter how many times you say I'm
sorry, the wound is still there. "

A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They
make you smile and encourage you to succeed.
They lend an ear, they share words of praise
and they always want to open their hearts to us."

Parrots

A lady approaches a priest and tells him, "Father, I have a problem. I have these two talking female parrots, but they only know how to say one thing. They keep saying "Hi, we're hot. Do you want a date?"

"That's terrible!" the priest exclaimed. "But I do have a solution to your problem. Bring your two parrots over to my house and I will put them with my two male talking parrots to whom I have taught to pray and read the bible.

My parrots will then teach your parrots to stop saying that terrible phrase, and your female parrots will learn to pray and worship."

So the next day, the lady brings her female parrots to the priest's house.

The priest's two male parrots are holding rosary beads and praying in their cage. The lady puts her female talking parrots in with the male talking Parrots, and the female parrots say, "Hi, we're hot. Do you want a date?"

One male parrot looks over at the other male parrot and screams, "Put your Bible away Idiot, our prayers have been answered!!!!!!!"

WHERE TO TAP

Ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed?

The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster.

He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"

So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer ........................ $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap ............................ $ 9998.00

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference.

The Struggle of a Butterfly

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.

We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
"I asked for Strength.........And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........I received everything I needed!"

Woodcutter

Once upon a time a very strong woodcutter asked for a job with a timber merchant, and he got it.

His salary was really good and so were the working conditions.

For that reason, the woodcutter was determined to do his best.

His boss gave him an axe and showed him the area where he was supposed to fell the trees.

The first day, the woodcutter brought down 15 trees."Congratulations, the boss said. "Carry on with your work! "Highly motivated by the words of his boss, the woodcutter tried harder the next day, but he only could bring 10 trees down. The third day he tried even harder, but he was only able to bring down 7 trees. Day after day he was bringing lesser number of trees down."I must be losing my strength", the woodcutter thought.

He went to the boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.

"When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" the boss asked."Sharpen? I had no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut trees..." That's right. Most of us NEVER update our skills. We think that whatever we have learned is very much enough. But good is not good when better is expected.

Sharpening our skills from time to time is the key to success. One cannot expect success tomorrow, by working today with yesterday's tools...

Guess what BOSS asked

A junior manager, a senior manager and their Boss are on their way to a meeting.

On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp.

They rub the lamp and a ghost appears.

The ghost says, "Normally, one is granted three wishes but as you are three, I will allow one wish each".

So the eager Junior manager shouted, I want the first wish. I want to be in the Bahamas , on a fast boat and have no worries."Pfufffff, and he has gone.

Now the Senior manager could not keep quiet and shouted " I want to be in Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and cocktails."Pfufffff , and he has also gone.

Now its Turn of there Boss........Guess wht he asked.................The boss calmly said," I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch at 1.30pm "

Moral of the story is:
"Always allow the bosses to speak first"

Tiny Frog

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.
A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....
The race began....

Honestly:
No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"
"They will NEVER make it to the top."
"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one....
Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher....
The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"
More tiny frogs got tired and gave up....
But ONE continued higher and higher and higher....
This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!
THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?
It turned out....That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people's negative or pessimistic tendencies .... because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart!
Always think of the power words have.
Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!
Therefore:
ALWAYS be....
POSITIVE!
And above all:
Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!
Always think:
God and I can do this!

10 Important Lessons Of Life

1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
2. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
3. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
4. When you say, "I love you," mean it.
5. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
6. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
7. Believe in love at first! sight.
8. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
9. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. 10. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
11. Don't judge people by their relatives.
12. Talk slowly but think quickly.

DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE THIS MUCH?

A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on the road on a motorcycle...
Girl: Slow down. Im scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, its too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.
Girl hugs him
Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself? Its bugging me.
In the paper the next day :( A motorcycle had crashed into a buildingbecause of brake failure. Two people were on it, but only one hadsurvived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his brakes broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him & felt her hug him one last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die.

Facts Of Life

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were u the one who changed my sign this morning? What did u write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what u said but in a different way."What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day & I cannot see it."

Do u think the first sign & the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story:
Be thankful for what you have.

Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

God's Timing is Right

What ever that happens in life, happens for good……so stop worryingabout the future and forget the past

After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of othercompanies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers toshare their available office space. At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive…... and all the stories were just the 'L I T L E' things.

As you might know, the head of the company survived that day becausehis son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. Onewoman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One of them missed his bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had totake time to change.

One's car wouldn't start.

One went back to answer the telephone.

One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he shouldhave.

One couldn't get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes thatmorning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there,he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy aBand-Aid. That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer aringing telephone... all the little things that annoy me. I think tomyself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment...

Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slowgetting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit everytraffic light, don't get mad or frustrated.

God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things andmay you remember their possible purpose.

Pass this on to someone else, if you'd like. There is NO LUCK attached.

Untiring Love

This is supposed to be a true story that happened in Japan.

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan tears open the wall.

Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built.

What happened?

The lizard has survived in such position for 10 years! In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed!

So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth.

Ahh! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years...

Such love, such a beautiful love! Such love happened even with this tiny creature ... What can love do? It can do wonders! Love can do miracles! Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.

Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't.

I was touched when I heard this story and started wondering about relationships between family members, friends, lovers, brothers, sisters.

As information and communication technology advances, our access to information becomes faster and faster. But the distance between human beings . . . is it getting closer as well?

I ask you...please never abandon your loved ones.

LOVE is a gift, take it, let it grow.
LOVE is a sign we should wear, let it show.
LOVE is an act, do it, let it go.

Sand vs Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During somepoint of the journey they had an argument, andone friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

TODAY MY BEST FRIENDSLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one whohad been slapped got stuck in the mire andstarted drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the neardrowning, he wrote on a stone:

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

The friend who had slapped andsaved his best friend asked him,"After I hurt you, you wrote in thesand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someonehurts us we should write it down in sand where windsof forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someonedoes something good for us, we must engraveit in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

Love-Wealth-Success

A woman came out of her house & saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard.

She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in & have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out & invited the men in"

" We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, & said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in & discuss with your husband which one of us u want in ur home."

The woman went in & told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come & fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife.

"Go out & invite Love to be our guest ."

The woman went out & asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up & started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him.

Surprised, the lady asked Wealth & Success: "I only invited Love, Why r u coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since u invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth & Success!!!!!!”

A Little Girl's Thoughts

A little girl and her father were crossing a filmsy bridge.

The father asked his little daughter," hold my hand so that you do not fall into river."

And daughter said, "No .Dad. You hold my hand."

"What is the difference?" asked the puzzled father.

"There is a big difference" replied daughter"Dad, if I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go"But ,if you hold my hand ,I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go"

Security Difference between http & https

FIRST, MANY PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE OF: **The main difference between http:// & https://

HTTPS:///> is. It's all about keeping you secure**

HTTP stands for HyperText Transport Protocol, which is just a fancy way of saying it's a protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking) for information to be passed back & forth between web servers & clients.

The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP & HTTPS.

The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure". If you visit a website or webpage, & look at the address in the web browser, it will likely begin with the following: http://. This means that the website is talking to your browser using the regular 'unsecure' language.

In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the website.

If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see> the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an http website!

But, if the web address begins with https:// <HTTPS:///> , that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

You understand why this is so important, right?

If a website ever asks you to enter your credit card information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https:// <HTTPS:///> .

If it doesn't, there's no way you're going to enter sensitive information like a credit card number.

Simple but hard to crack

There are 3 questions here. Just see if you can solve them correctly. For the answers scroll down to the end! All the best. Dont Scroll down before trying....

On a man's tombstone, it is said that one sixth of his life was spent in childhood and one twelfth as a teenager. One seventh of his life passed between the time he became an adult and the time he married; five years later, his son was born. Alas, the son died four years before he did. He lived to be twice as old as his son did. How old did the man live? The man lived 1/12 of his life as a teenager.

Isaac and Albert wanted to take a vacation. They were debating how they could get to their hotel in the fastest manner. Isaac said, "We should go by train." But Albert said, "No, the train reaches the end of the line half way to the hotel -- we would have to walk the rest of the way. We should bike to the hotel instead." Isaac disagreed. So Albert biked the whole way to the hotel, while Isaac took the train for the first half of the journey and walked for the remainder. The speed of the train turned out to be four times that of the bike's speed. The bike's speed turned out to be two times faster than walking speed. Who got to the hotel first?

How can you express the number 100 using six nines and no other digits?

There are seven teen years 7 * 12 = 84

The problem may be solved more easily with simple logic. If the bicycle is twice as fast as walking, the time it takes to bike the whole way is equal to the time it takes to walk half the way. So if the train's speed is anything shy of infinite, biking will still be faster.

Warren Buffet's letter for New Year 2009

We begin this New Year with dampened enthusiasm and dented optimism. Our happiness is diluted and our peace is threatened by the financial illness that has infected our families, organizations and nations.

Everyone is desperate to find a remedy that will cure their financial illness and help them recover their financial health. They expect the financial experts to provide them with remedies, forgetting the fact that it is these experts who created this financial mess.

Every new year, I adopt a couple of old maxims as my beacons to guide my future. This self-prescribed therapy has ensured that with each passing year, I grow wiser and not older. This year, I invite you to tap into the financial wisdom of our elders along with me, and become financially wiser.

Hard work: All hard work brings profit; but mere talk leads only to poverty.
Laziness: A sleeping lobster is carried away by the water current.
Earnings: Never depend on a single source of income.
Spending: If you buy things you don 't need, you 'll soon sell things you need.
Savings: Don 't save what is left after spending; spend what is left after saving.
Borrowings: The borrower becomes the lender 's slave.
Accounting: It 's no use carrying an umbrella, if your shoes are leaking.
Auditing: Beware of little expenses; a small leak can sink a large ship.
Risk-taking: Never test the depth of the river with both feet.Investment: Don 't put all your eggs in one basket.

I 'm certain that those who have already been practicing these Principles remain financially healthy. I 'm equally confident that those who resolve to start practicing these principles will quickly regain their financial health.Let us become wiser and lead a happy, healthy, prosperous and Peaceful life.

Marriage Passbook

Jocelyn married William this day. At the end of the wedding party,
Jocelyn's mother gave her a newly opened bank saving passbook. With $1000 deposit amount.

Mother: 'Jocelyn, take this passbook. Keep it as a record of your marriage life. When there's something happy and memorable happened in your new life, put some money in.
Write down what it's about next to the line. The more memorable the event is, the more money you can put in. I've done the first one for you today. Do the others with William. When you look back after years, you can know how much happiness you've had.'

Jocelyn shared this with William when getting home. They both thought it was a great idea and were anxious to know when the second deposit can be made. This was what they did after certain time: -
7 Feb: $100,first birthday celebration for William after marriage - 1 Mar: $300, salary raise for Jocelyn - 20 Mar: $200, vacation trip to Bali- 15 Apr: $2000, Jocelyn got pregnant - 1 Jun: $1000, William got promoted ...... and so on...

However, after years, they started fighting and arguing for trivial things. They didn't talk much. They regretted that they had married the most nasty people in the world....no more love... Kind of typical nowadays, huh?

One day Jocelyn talked to her Mother: 'Mom, we can't stand it anymore. We agree to divorce. I can't imagine how I decided to marry this guy!!!'

Mother:! 'Sure, girl, that's no big deal. Just dowhatever you want if! you really can't stand it. But before that, do one thing first. Remember the saving passbook I gave you on your wedding day? Take out all money and spend it first. You shouldn't keep any record of such a poor marriage.'

Jocelyn thought it was true. So she went to the bank, waiting at the queue and planning to cancel the account. While she was waiting, she took a look at the passbook record. She looked, and looked, and looked. Then the memory of all the previous joy and happiness just came up her mind. Her eyes were then filled with tears. She left and went home.

When she was home, she handed the passbook to William, asked him to spend the money before getting divorce. The next day, William gave the passbook back to Jocelyn. She found a new deposit of $5000. And a line next to the record: 'This is the day I notice how much I've loved you thru out all these years. How much happiness you've brought me.'

They hugged and cried, putting the passbook back to the safe.

Do you know how much money they had saved when they retired??? Hmmm I did not ask...

Well what's money in front of a happy life which is indeed PRICELESS...? Isn't it?

Late Sitting

Mail sent by Narayan Murthy to all Infosys staff:

It's half past 8 in the office but the lights are still on... PCs still running, coffee machines still buzzing... And who's at work? Most of them ??? Take a closer look...

All or most specimens are ?? Something male species of the human race...
Look closer... again all or most of them are bachelors...

And why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way!!! Any guesses??? Let's ask one of them...

Here's what he says... 'What's there 2 do after going home...Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee that is why I am working late...Importantly no bossssssss!!!!!!!!!!!'

This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.
Bachelors 'Passing-Time' during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they've nothing else to do... Now what r the consequences...

'Working' (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.

With bosses more than eager to provide support to those 'working' late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he's a hard worker... goes home only to change..!!). They aren't helping things too...

To hell with bosses who don't understand the difference between 'sitting' late and 'working' late!!!

Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.

So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family... office is no longer a priority, family is... and That's when the problem starts... b'coz u start having commitments at home too.

For your boss, the earlier 'hardworking' guy suddenly seems to become a 'early leaver' even if u leave an hour after regular time... after doing the same amount of work.

People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers...

Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on time are labelled as 'not up to it'. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on 'working' not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.

So what's the moral of the story?? * Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!! * Never put in extra time ' unless really needed ' * Don't stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.

There are hundred other things to do in the evening..

Learn music...

Learn a foreign language...

Try a sport... TT, cricket.........

Importantly, get a girl friend or boy friend, take him/her around town...

* And for heaven's sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.

Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *'Life's calling, where are you??'*

Please pass on this message to all those colleagues and please do it before leaving time, don't stay back till midnight to forward this!!!

IT'S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.

PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DON'T KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR TIME. SIMPLE !

Regards, NARAYAN MURTHY.
